Turkey Dinner Wrap… the best parts of thanksgiving (minus the potatoes) combined to form one excellent lunchtime treat.

After the epic failure of an attempt at Chicken Piccata, I decided to go back to my old ways (of stealing ideas from local eateries). The turkey dinner wrap is something that I used to order fairly often from a deli down the road… but it’s hard to spend $6 on something I can make for $2.

The only difference between my version and the “pro” version? I suck at wrapping food… burritos, wraps, you name it… I’ll wrap it poorly. As soon as I take that first bite all of the insides escape out the end.

With that said, this wrap might be my most successful wrapping ever (and it only took me 2 attempts). If you have any tips, please share.

Turkey, stuffing, light mayo, cranberry sauce, and a wheat wrap.

Simple, easy, delicious.

Ingredients

1/4 lb Turkey
1 cup Stuffing, cooked
light Mayo
Cranberry Sauce
1 Whole Wheat Wrap

Instructions

Place all ingredients in wrap.

Roll.

    You are definitely awesome at diner/comfort food. The wraps look perfect in the photo! It just takes practice, and having good, soft wraps that don’t crack under the pressure of being wrapped tightly (if they are dry and fighting you (whole wheat wraps sometimes do this), dampen your hands very slightly and rub your hand across the wrap before you start). Or, if it is a warm wrap, and it’s going to be eaten right away, just warm the stack in the microwave for about 30 seconds (up to a minute, depending on your microwave) with a damp paper towel on top of the stack. Also, as counter-intuitive as it may seem, I also find that having more filling than less seems to make it easier to control the rolling process (as you have in the picture with all of that stuffing). Then, just put the filling on one side, do one fold to the side, tuck the ends in, and roll up – tightly. My husband will want to renew our vows if i pack this in his lunch. Cool idea. Thanks!

    Ahhh… the Gobblerito! You just left out the mashed potatoes, gravy and corn! One of my very favorite burritos of all time!
